Tally Prime price in India (2026): plans and what's included

Tally Prime is the accounting software most Indian small businesses run on — but the pricing confuses everyone, because there are lifetime licenses, rental plans, and a separate annual "TSS" renewal for compliance updates. Here's the 2026 pricing explained simply.

    The lifetime (perpetual) license prices

Tally Solutions sells two main editions as one-time purchases, plus 18% GST on top:

EditionLifetime priceWith 18% GSTWho it's for
Silver (single user)₹22,500₹26,550Sole proprietors, single-PC offices
Gold (multi-user)₹67,500₹79,650Growing teams on the same office network
Server (enterprise)₹2,70,000₹3,18,600Larger firms needing heavy data control

    Prefer monthly? Rental plans exist

If you'd rather not pay a lump sum, Tally Prime is available on flexible rental plans:

    • Silver: ₹750 per month, or ₹9,000 per year (roughly ₹675/month with the annual discount).
    • Gold: ₹2,250 per month, or ₹27,000 per year (roughly ₹2,025/month).

Rental plans auto-renew and include the same core software — a good option while you're starting out or testing whether the team will actually use it.

    The TSS catch (worth knowing)

Every new lifetime license includes one year of Tally Software Services (TSS) free. TSS is what keeps you current: GST and TDS rule updates, e-invoicing, e-way bill connectivity, GSTR-2B/IMS reconciliation and connected banking. From the second year, renewal costs ₹4,500 + GST for Silver and ₹13,500 + GST for Gold.

Without TSS renewal, the core software keeps working offline — you just stop getting compliance updates and connected services. For a business filing GST, letting TSS lapse is rarely a good idea.

What you get in the box

    • Full accounting: ledgers, vouchers, banking, inventory and payroll in one package
    • GST compliance: GSTR-1/GSTR-3B preparation, e-invoicing and e-way bill
    • TDS/TCS and statutory compliance for Indian payroll (PF, ESI, PT)
    • Connected banking, WhatsApp invoicing and automatic data backups

New businesses also get a 90-day free trial from Tally, so you can validate the software against your real books before paying.

Buying Tally, or stuck with it?

We set up Tally Prime for businesses across Manipur and Mizoram — chart of accounts tailored to your firm, GST/TDS configured correctly, data migrated from Excel or old software, and training so your team actually uses it.
